Judy Hopps – In Zootopia, a big city, Judy Hopps is the present-day police officer. Judy attained her magnificent dream of becoming Zootopia Police’s first bunny cop at 24, but this was the beginning of many challenges. 

Judy’s Background 

Judy belongs to Bunnyburrow’s minor rural community, distant from Zootopia, consisting of numerous habitat neighbourhoods. Judy reveals in a school play her majestic dream of becoming the Zootopia Police’s first bunny cop, as anyone can become anything.  

Judy’s parents, Bonnie and Stu Hopps, want her to become a carrot farmer just like them, as it is a safe job, unlike chasing criminals. 

Judy defends her prey friends at the Bunnyburrow farm fair from a fox, whose name is  Gideon Grey, who scratches Judy’s cheek after knocking her down. 

Gideon yells at Judy in order to mock her, saying that she is nothing more than a bunny who is dumb too. This statement was strong enough to change her entire life, and she doubled her efforts to follow her dream of becoming a cop in order to stop all the wrong things and do the correct things. 

After growing up, Judy joined the police academy. She overcame all her challenges after some difficulties and was accepted as the foremost bunny rabbit of Zootopia Police by Mayor Lionheart. Chief Bogo allotted her as a metre maid at the Police headquarters before providing her with a case of finding Mr Otterton.

Judy has a determined, fearless, and cheerful personality which also passes off to all those who are around her. She isn’t scared of the stage and becoming the main character which is evident from the fact she used to perform in her school from a very young age. 

In the complete movie, Judy is seen following her dream of becoming the first bunny cop and achieving her foremost objective of solving her first case. She shows numerous examples of hard work even after listening to “No”, “She is prey”, “She is small”, and “Cannot become a hero”. 

She also shows her benevolent side by empathizing with victims and being an active listener. She also trusts others, like a fox, Nick Wilde and sees their true potential, whether big or small.
